Emily has been teaching Pilates in Brighton and Hove for over 13 years. Emily is a trained contemporary dancer and until recently she had taught A Level Dance at BHASVIC College for 11 years. On the A Level Dance course she taught choreography, dance history/analysis, contemporary dance technique and anatomy and physiology.
Her experience of teaching dance and interest in other body work such as yoga, fascia release, Rolfing, gyro-tonics, Garuda, Power-Plates and Alexander Technique have all influenced Emily's approach to teaching Pilates.
Emily has a calm, friendly approach but always strives to challenge individuals to develop and progress with the Pilates method.
Emily’s classes always incorporate small equipment such as flex-bands, foam rollers, balls and circles to add variety to the classical Pilates repertoire. Emily teaches a wide range of classes from complete beginners to dynamic advanced, pregnancy, back care, private 1:1 and 2:1 Pilates.
